PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CHANGE ANY OTHER PARAMETERS
SCROLL to the desired function using either LEFT or RIGHT arrow keys
Step 1 – Turn on and wait for system to open.
Step 2 – Press tick button (MAIN MENU should appear in screen) if not, return system to Oyster Sat-Tech
Step 3 – Press tick (SETTINGS should appear in screen)
Step 4 – Press LEFT ARROW and TICK buttons simultaneously
SERVICE MENU should appear briefly then change to RETURN
If language or other features appear on screen – press on/off button once and return to Step 2
Step 5 – If RETURN in screen follow steps 6 to 24
Step 6 – Scroll across the screen, using left or right arrows until TRANSPONDER EDIT appears
Step 7 – Press tick
Step 8 – Scroll until ASTRA 2 on screen
Step 9 – Press tick
Step 10 – TRANSPONDER 0 should appear on screen
Step 11 – Press tick
Step 12 – FREQUENCY should appear on screen
Step 13 – The frequency required editing, using left or right arrows, until 12051 is shown on screen
Step 14 – Press tick
Step 15 – POLORISATION should appear on screen
Step 16 – Scroll until 1V appears on screen
Step 17 – Press tick
Step 18 – SYMBOL RATE set to 27500 (scroll if different)
Step 19 – Press tick
Step 20 – Set to FEC2 (scroll if different)
Step 21 – Press tick
Step 22 – Set to IQ1 (scroll if different)
Step 23 – Press tick
Step 24 – STORING should appear on screen
Step 25 – Automatically returns to TRANSPONDER EDIT
**If customer completes this reasonably competently, repeat steps 6 to 24 to update
other 3 transponders (see above for frequency & Polarisation – all other values should be set as above). Otherwise exit at this point.
UPDATE COMPLETE
Press on/off switch – returns to main menu – press again to turn system off. When fully retracted, turn system on again which should lock on to ASTRA 2 after short search.
Other Transponders: see step 9 – Change TRANSPONDERS 1, 2 then 3 respectively.
